Join our Wassail on 17 January
Wassailing is an annual tradition of blessing orchards to ensure a good harvest for the year to come. It will involve a song or two, and we’ll toast to the trees. Since 2025, and together with Friends of People's Park and Edible High Town, we're holding a small wassail in People's Park community orchard.

Meet at the People's Park community orchard, off Havelock Road/Arden Place
What to wear/bring
Bring something to make a noise (pots and wooden spoons would work), a mug for hot drinks, and wear something green or red (and warm!).
Meeting point
We’ll meet at the bottom of the orchard, near the flagpole. The what3words location is https://w3w.co/dust.trip.posed.
Weather
The weather may be chilly, and the ground may be wet, so dress warmly and wear solid shoes. If a storm or heavy rain is forecast, we may have to postpone - we’d update this webpage by the morning to let you know.
